About the Opportunity:

We are conducting a confidential search for a high-growth, entrepreneurial organization seeking a hands-on accounting professional with strong financial analysis capabilities.

This role is designed for a top-tier Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or emerging Assistant Controller ready to step into a broader, more strategic position with full ownership of the accounting function and a clear path to Controller.

You'll work closely with executive leadership in a lean, fast-moving environment where your impact will be immediate and highly visible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the full-cycle accounting function, including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages
• Perform financial analysis, including variance and trend analysis to support decision-making
• Manage cash flow, expenses, and corporate card activity
• Support consolidations tied to growth initiatives and acquisitions
• Assist with board-level reporting materials (no presentation required)
• Oversee A/R processes and general ledger activity
• Support system upgrades and process improvements
• Strengthen internal controls, reporting structure, and overall accounting processes

What We're Looking For:

• 5-10+ years of experience across accounting and financial analysis
• Proven ability to operate as a self-sufficient, full-cycle accounting owner
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and business drivers behind the numbers
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Background in small to mid-sized, fast-paced environments
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar systems (system transitions a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Clear trajectory toward or readiness for Controller-level responsibility
